【Photo Journey】《Tsz Shan Monastery》Car ran along Ting Kok Road of Tai Po District to the north of the New Territories of Hong Kong. Tolo Harbour was on the right whereas thick woods and hills were on the left. A huge and white Guanyin statute appearing in the greenwood mountains, facing Tolo Harbour, was particularly dazzling. My friend told me that it was Hong Kong businessman Li Ka-shing who spent HK$ 1.5 billion to build this Tsz Shan Monastery.

【Photo Journey】《Revisiting Grass Island》Grass Island (Tap Mun) is an outlying island northeast of the New Territories of Hong Kong, with an area of 1.69 square kilometers and the highest point of the hill is 125 meters. As the island is full of grass around the hills, that is the reason "grass island" is so named. Standing atop the hill, I could enjoy a 360-degree panorama of the beautiful view. Therefore it attracts numerous campers and travellers.

【Photo Journey】《From Tai Long Sai Wan to Chek Keng》: To enjoy the most beautiful beach in Hong Kong, you can not go without visiting the famous Tai Long Sai Wan (lit. "Big Wave West Bay") at Sai Kung East Country Park in Hong Kong. It is due to the wide bay with shallow water, sandy beaches, big waves and beautiful scenery that it is renowned to be the top of the ten beautiful beaches in Hong Kong. I first came to Tai Long Sai Wan for scout camping some 50 years ago.

Here was a valley of 10 odd kilometers long in the suburb where the meandering South Stream was flowing. On either side of the stream were stepped fields. Village houses were built on the hill slopes, either gathered or scattered.

【Photo Journey】《Ancient city in the rain》In travel, it is most despairing to encounter a rainy day. Everywhere is wet and misty. All beautiful scenes seem to be covered by a layer of gauze. Shooting landscape photographs becomes a big challenge. That day I came to an ancient city in Chaozhou, China. It had heavy rain all day. My interest in sightseeing was greatly reduced.

Being Big Dipper as medical social worker
She was touched by the early-flower-a-day gifts
To accept his love And his marriage feast

【Ontario Yours to Discover】《Disappearance of a beautiful scene》: In June 2011, I took the photographs of a beautiful farm on 16th Avenue near Kennedy Avenue in Toronto. The small houses and the wide green field were attractive and lovely. In September 2012, I went to the same location to capture the last face of the farm before it was turned to a residential estate. Today, I went again for an update of the progress of the construction site and saw some new houses were built. The beautiful scene of the farm has gone forever.

Aroused my desire to chase after the shadow sheaves.

Light rays added beauty to the silhouette.

《The outlook of a closed cathedral》: This "Cathedral of the Transfiguration" is a Roman Catholic cathedral built in Markham, Ontario. It is also a landmark in the Cathedraltowm community in Markham. My first impression of the cathedral was back to 1998 when I drove on Bayview Avenue near Major McKenzie Avenue, I saw the beautiful golden onion dome of the cathedral in distance. This afternoon was my first time spent to take photographs of this deserted cathedral from different perspectives.

《Flying off high up to the sky》: To me, yesterday was a lazy afternoon but to the flock of geese gathering at a small pond in a Toronto conservatory park the sunny and warm weather was suitable for their flying. Unlike those seen at the Scarborough Bluffs Park, these geese were flying in group one after the other. Every time the flight started at the outburst of their loud and noisy warbling. Hundreds of the geese took off and kept flying on a lower level just above the water.

Translated by Peter Bok
Riverside grass swing in breeze so light,
A lonely mast dashes high in a lonely night.
The wide field shines with stars dangling low,
The river reflects the moon on the gorgeous flow.
Will literary works bring a man with fame
Being old and ill makes retirement an official game?
What am I like, drifting on so free?
A seagull roaming nowhere on the earth and sea.
