Tsz Shan Monastery 慈山寺

【Photo Journey】《Tsz Shan Monastery》Car ran along Ting Kok Road of Tai Po District to the north of the New Territories of Hong Kong. Tolo Harbour was on the right whereas thick woods and hills were on the left. A huge and white Guanyin statute appearing in the greenwood mountains, facing Tolo Harbour, was particularly dazzling. My friend told me that it was Hong Kong businessman Li Ka-shing who spent HK$ 1.5 billion to build this Tsz Shan Monastery.
It is a large Buddhist temple, covering 46,764 square meters. The layout of the building complex was particularly designed based on the terrain and adopted the buildings of Tang Dynasty. It was completed in 2014 and opened in April of the following year. The white bronze Guanyin statute is 76 meters high, the second highest in the world. It stands deep in the mountains and is clearly visible from afar.

【光影記行】《慈山寺》汽車沿着香港新界大埔汀角路向北而行，右邊是吐露港，左邊是巒山密林。一座巍峨白色的觀音像出現在綠林深山裡，面向吐露港，顯得特別耀眼。友人告知，這是香港富商李嘉誠先生以15億港元建成的大型佛寺慈山寺。慈山寺佔地46,764平方米，整個建築群依山勢佈局，仿唐建築而建，於2014年竣工，翌年4月啓用。寺內的銅鑄白色觀音像高76米，是世界第二高的觀音像，矗立深山，從遠處均清晰可見。
