I have heard of Hoi Sham Temple in childhood but have never been there before. This is my first time coming to Hoi Sham Park for scenic photography. The park is located at the coast of To Kwa Wan in southeast Kowloon peninsula and used to be a small island surround by many jagged rocks off the Kowloon Bay. One of the rocks "Hoi Sham Rock" resembles lively the look of a fish tail and thus known as "Fishtail Rock". In 1960s, reclamation of the coast had connected the island and relocated the Hoi Sham Temple elsewhere. In 1972, Hong Kong government built the Hoi Sham Park with pavilion and planted trees surrounding the Fishtail Rock for people to enjoy and appreciate the coastline scene of Kowloon Bay.
