Artistic pattern in Chi Lin Nunnery

Chi Lin Nunnery is tranquil. Anyone staying inside the nunnery will have a feeling of comfortable and relaxing ambience. The whole architectural structure built on the prototype of temple in Tang Dynasty is so grant and elegant that makes one dazzled and stunned. Every part of the building is an artistic creation, a display of beautiful arts.

Recently I browsed over the old photos in which I found this album of my first visit to Chi Lin taken on 25th February 2009. Among all these photos, they have inspired my exploration of  the combination of 'beauty', 'art' and 'ambience' in which I have also found the basic essence of 'contrast', 'framing' and 'circle, angle, square' in photography.

  3. They are beautiful indeed! But I don't know why most part of the building constructions were shut down and people are restricted to view and take pictures inside. That was what I have experienced before. I think if you were allowed to go inside, there were a lot of to explore

    1. When I went there in December 2012, the Nan Lian Gardens and the bridge between the gardens and the temple were closed for renovation. However, visitors were free to take photos in open areas but not inside the temple hall when the ritual of sacrifice or worship was on there!
