Reminiscing Tsim Bei Tsui 情繫尖鼻嘴

Tsim Bei Tsui (lit. points of nose and mouth) sounds familiar to me.  I looked up information and found that it is somewhere in the northwest part of the New Territories, running along the border of the Deep Bay in Hong Kong.  It is an area with natural beauty and wildlife, though not as famous as the Mai Po Wetlands.
Its unique location is easily accessible by public transport as it is not within the restricted area along the border.  On 4 March 2000, my friend gave me a ride to the New Territories for landscape photography.  We drove along the Deep Bay Road which was a narrow road with shrub and woods on one side and the waterfront of Deep Bay on the other.  The area had the natural beauty of marsh, mangroves and feeding birds.  We finally reached the end of the road where a police post was located. A flight of steps nearby was leading to the top of a small hill for bird watching and sight-seeing.  At time of my first visit, I did not know the exact whereabouts until this time that I noticed one of the photos that the police post was at Tsim Bei Tsui.  I was reminiscing the trip again from all these photos! 

「尖鼻咀」的名字似曾相識，翻查資料，是香港新界西北部近邊界的自然觀景地區，雖然名氣比不上「米浦」或「濕地公園」，但它卻有其獨特之處，因為並非是禁區範圍，所以交通頗為方便。2000年3月4日，是我初抵此地。當時友人駕車，沿新界西北方走，經深灣道。單程馬路，右邊是郊野或樹林，左面可見后海灣，近岸處是沼澤區。路的盡頭是小山坡，尖鼻咀警崗設在這裡。當時旅遊，仍不大清楚所到何處。這次翻看舊照片，追憶思舊，方能從照片的警崗門外標着「尖鼻咀警崗」方知道位置。重看舊照片，與友人同遊尖鼻咀的情景歷歷在目！
