A lonely wanderer
walks on the winding Yuen Tsuen Trail.
On Dragon terrace,
clouds move above Tsing Ma,
Whereas Ting Kau Bridge is afar.

Passing a lotus pond,
farmer walks by the slowly brook.
In the dusk at Sham Tseng,
seeing the same green hills,
I arrive at the temple door.

*Inserted 8 places: Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail, Stone Dragon Terrace, Ting Kau Bridge, Tsing Ma Bridge, Tin Fu (lit. translated: “farmer”) Tsai, Tsing Fai Tong (Pond), Sham Tseng, Castle Peak.
Epilogue: Three days ago I hiked along Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail with friends. Owing to time constraints, it is a pity that we failed to complete the trip. This morning I went alone at 11 am to take the ancient trail again . I arrived Sham Tseng at 5pm to complete the whole trip of 15 km.

調寄《減字木蘭花》

天涯孤客，獨走元荃迂道行。
佇立龍台，汀九橋望青馬雲。
荷花塘畔，逕走田夫溪水緩。
深井斜暉，依舊青山到寺門。

*嵌入八景：元荃古道、石龍拱、汀九橋、青馬橋、田夫仔、清快塘、深井、青山。
後記：三日前與朋友同行《元荃古道》，由於時間緊迫，可惜未能行畢全程。這天上午11時獨自起行，再走古道，下午5時抵達深井，走畢15公里的《元荃古道》。
