Canadian Geese at Toogood Pond 㤗瑞池塘觀鵝踪

It was overcast and cool on Thursday. Though it was already in early spring, the winter chill was still there. John of our "Photography Trio" texted me and Derek a message suggesting bird photography at the Toogood Pond. Three of us then had chit-chat for a while at a roadside coffee shop before driving to the destination. The pond still has a layer of ice.

The weather got warmer, more than half of the ice began to melt. Flock of Canada Geese stayed on the waters. They looked lazy, unwilling to fly. Nevertheless, we still held our patience, expecting them to "take off" and "land on" to capture their wonderful moment of dynamic flight. In two hours, we enjoyed the leisure of photography! I have selected these few photos to present their real form of flight without any artistic modification to express their beauty. I only cropped them in strips for better and easy full-screen viewing.

星期四天陰清涼，雖然已進入初春，冬天的寒氣仍未散。「攝影三人組」阿章發來短訉，約我和阿東到泰瑞池塘「打雀」獵影。興之所至，三人相約先在路邊咖啡店「吹水」十五分鐘，隨後驅車十分鐘往目的地進發。池塘上仍結了一層薄冰，天氣轉暖，過半的冰塊開始溶化。一群加拿大鵝在水邊游戈。牠們看來似乎懶洋洋，不願高飛。雖然如此，我們仍抱著耐性，期待牠們「起飛」和「降落」水面的一刻，捕捉精彩的動感。在兩小時，我們享受了閒情逸緻的「打雀」時光！選擇的照片，以寫實方式表達鵝態飛姿，不作後期「美工」修飾，祇作橫條剪裁，利用全屏幕觀賞更為合適和方便。
