Wye River under the Hwy 12 bridge 12號公路下的惠河

Tay Shore Trail is located in the Tay Township in Ontario, Canada. It begins in Maubaushene and ends by the Wye River in Midland.  The origin of Wye River starts at the central Tay Township and flows northbound to the Midland Bay.  Wye River passes the Wye Marsh Wildlife Area, Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, Hwy 12, Martyrs' Shrine and finally reaches the Midland Bay.

When Wye River flows under the Hwy 12 bridge, the river scene is beautiful and charming.  In the past two years, I always drove on the Hwy 12.  While on the Hwy 12 bridge, I did not notice the beautiful scenery of the Wye River. In further observation, I found that the river scene becomes more attractive: there are 3 bridges appearing across the river!  Canoe paddlers love to sail here as the river bank is flourished with green weeds, the large Martyrs' Shrine is visible in far distance and Sainte-Marie among the Hurons is just on the river bank.

I was strolling on the Tay Shore Trail along Wye River to enjoy the bridge scene and to take photos of the river.  I love to use iPhone and Ricoh Digital GR3 compact camera to take landscape photos in addtion to my SLR camera as they are light-weight, handy and convenient.  Photos of this album were taken with the Ricoh Digital GR3.

「泰雅湖畔徑」位於加拿大安省中部的泰雅鎮，東始於和布仙鎮，在米蘭鎮的惠河河畔結束。惠河源泰雅鎮中部朝向米蘭灣北流，經過惠河濕地國家野生區、聖瑪莉歷史民族村、12號公路、經過米蘭殉道者朝聖教堂後、流出米蘭灣。

惠河流經12號公路大橋，這一帶風景迷人。過去兩年，我曾經驅車於12號公路，行車到12號公路大橋，未有留意橋下惠河的面貌。細心觀賞，惠河流經這裡，頓時出現令人神往的景觀：河上同時出現三座橋！遊人喜歡在這裡乘坐獨木舟沿河上游，河畔青蔥野草，遠處可見大教堂和民族村。 

我沿湖畔徑漫步，在惠河橋上欣賞風光，也用相機拍下惠河景色。我除了用單反相機，也喜歡利用手機和麗確數碼GR3小型相機獵影，取其輕巧方便。這輯照片全用麗確相機拍攝。

#1. The large church is the famous Martyrs' Shrine.  In order to compliment the historical church, the Ontario government built a new bridge across the Wye River in 1930s. This Shrine Bridge was demolished in 1970s when the new Hwy 12 bridge was widened to 4 lanes.

教堂傳鐘聲、河畔泛橋影。遠處是米蘭殉道者朝聖教堂。為紀念此具有歷史意義的教堂，省政府於1930年代在惠河上興建了「殉道朝聖紀念橋」。1970年代，紀念橋被四線行車的12號公路取代了。
