The annual Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) closed on 3 September. I have not visited the CNE for ten odd years. In two consecutive afternoons on 1st and 2nd September, I went to CNE near the harbourfront of the lake. This time, I wanted to take photographs of what I saw and heard. As the venue of the exhibition was vast and there were many attraction activities, some people went there taking what they saw without setting targets and theme of their photography. They were confused either feeling difficult to start or simply thinking that nothing worth shooting. Simply speaking, there were too many activities and they did not know how to find subjects to shoot. To me, I was interested in the afternoon sun, in the field of light and shadow, in the colors and their visual effects. I used the themes: The Sky, The Ground and The People to categorize the photos in this album.

一年一度的加拿大國家展覽會已於九月三日曲終人散。我有十年多沒有參觀這個大型的活動。九月一和二日，連續兩個下午重訪多倫多湖濱的展覽會。這次，主要是拍攝展覽場地的所見所聞。由於展覽場地廣闊，活動項目甚多，有朋友來到拍攝，看見甚麼便拍甚麼，心中沒有拍攝的目標和主題，所以無所適從，不是感到難於入手，就覺得無可拍攝的事物。簡單來說，由於太多東西，他們不懂得找題材來拍攝。我感興趣的卻是下午的陽光，在現場所產生的光影、色彩和視覺的效果。我以「天、地、人」作照片的分類。

ReplyDelete謝謝你對照片的觀察入微。不錯，兩張照片都是採用同一鏡頭、焦段、光圈和ISO的設定。兩者我也同樣選用了「單點測光」(Spot Metering Mode)和「光圈先決」(Aperture Priority)。我選用f/11來加寬景深，快門則讓相機自行設定。兩者的快門差別主要決定「單點測光」對著的位置：第一張照片是對著摩天輪測光，相機自動設定快門在1/640秒。第二張照片是對著天空，為免曝光過度，相機便自動設定快門在1/1600秒了。這也會使人物稍為曝光不足，形成「剪影」，我用Adobe Lightroom 3軟件作後期調整：將人物稍為「加光」(Fill Light +14)，將照片提升「亮度」(Brightness +2)。
