馬灣之日與夜 Ma Wan: Day & Night

On November 29, 2011, I went to Ma Wan, Hong Kong for photography.  My last visit to this island was back to 40 years with classmates when I was a junior school student.  Last year, I went back to Hong Kong.  The airport bus passed the bridge and from there I could see the new and old piers of Ma Wan.  The old village of Ma Wan was deserted.  I could only recall my good old memory from those ragged houses in the village!

Contax super sharp lens: Planar 45mm f/2

I owned a Contax G2 camera some 15 years ago. This is a well known camera always compared with Leica M6 side by side. Contax has produced 7 lens for this camera: 16mm f/8, 21mm f2.8, 28mm f/2.8, 35mm f/2.8, 45mm f/2, 90mm f/2.8, 35-70mm f/3.5-5.6. I have all these except 35mm and 35-70mm.

霍士公園隨手拍 Snapshots at Terry Fox Park

In a cold afternoon of December 31, 2011, I strolled along the Terry Fox Park in Scarborough. Snow stopped falling and began to dissolve. Hence the weather is bitterly cold. I wore the gloves and began to take a few snapshots in the park.

雨夜中的立法會大樓 LEGCO Building in A Rainy Night

These photos were taken unexpectedly on Nov 25, 2011. I was returning home after attending a concert of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra near City Hall. I was attracted by the lights of the building and eventually spent a while to capture these beautiful photos with my camera.

巴里市秋色 Barrie in Fall

On Oct 17, 2011, I went to Barrie with my friend to take photos of maple leaves along the famous Horsehoe Valley Road.

2011年10月17日與友人重踏安省巴里（Barrie)市，在著名滿佈楓樹的馬蹄谷大道（Horseshoe Valley Road)一帶拍攝楓葉秋色。

Rhyme of Hong Kong Images

The selected photos were taken in Hong Kong in 2007 and 2010 respectively. They represent part of my impression and affection over this city. I used foreground or framing for the photographic composition. Photo devices used: Canon Powershot S3IS (2007), Nikon D40X and AF18-200mm (2010).




Light and reflection of mirrors create an artwork of mosaic in the Central District. The figures on the bridge are carefully captured to ensure they will appear in each of the window frame.
