《Elation》
Text / Photography by Peter Bok
Being slender and elegant
The beauty feels elate and infatuated
With her dainty and brilliant hands
She puts on make up delicately
Dressing in a waistband-skirt
She dances elegantly
On parting
She sobs and whispers sadly
《Epilogue》:
Some people use water to describe women:
"The pale eyebrows are like autumn water,
and the jade muscles are associated with breeze." (Dream of the Red Chamber).
I like flowers.
Recently I enjoyed the blooming tulips at the Edwards Gardens in Toronto.
The flowers have different forms with charming colors.
"Her robe lets me think of the clouds and flower reminds me of her face.
The spring breezes sweep gently over the balcony with glimmering of the bright dews." (Qing Ping Tune by LI Bai).
I think it is more appropriate to describe pretty, wise and elegant women with flowers.
