These homes do not have swimming pools but rather have ponds which appear quite rare and extraordinary. The water does not come from river or lake but an underground natural "water pool". The soil of the small hill is permeable. Rainwater falls on the topsoil and goes through the permeable soil creating high water levels at the bottom of the hills. The water then flows through the soil near the top of the elevation, it encounters a harder layer of earth. Some of the water moves very quickly to the bottom while the remaining stays near the surface forming an underground lake with only a layer of dirt above it. When the force of the upward flow of the water is so powerful that the top layer of the soil eventually cracks and the water flows out to form a natural pond. The builder takes advantage of this geological phenomenon to design and build these beautiful ponds.

ReplyDeleteWow! very beautiful and peacful, you are so lucky to have chance to go there............I like it !!
ReplyDeleteI like #7 and #14 the best! They are the pond scene. It is so nice to have a natural pond right on your lawn. I wonder if they are more expensive.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
DeleteYour photos are very good. You caught a true feel for this very special artesian well area. I'm the rider and appreciate such a great photo of my horse.
DeleteDear rider: The appearance of you and your lovely horse in the scene is a surprise to me as a landscape photographer. Your joy of horse riding adds token in this album. Many thanks
DeleteAll pretty pictures...hard to select...but if I really had to pick out one or two, I would go with #5 and #9. Then again, all of them are beautiful, really!
ReplyDeleteDear Louella, We may have come across places like these every day but we may have ignored them because we are too inattentive or over-occupied by other matters. It is until the moment when we can stop for a while and select and compose these shots carefully, we eventually notice their beauty! Remember, always love and appreciate things and people around you. This is the essence for a peaceful and beautiful world! Thanks for your appreciation and preference of these shots!
