A lonely wanderer
walks on the winding Yuen Tsuen Trail.
On Dragon terrace,
clouds move above Tsing Ma,
Whereas Ting Kau Bridge is afar.

【Photo Journey】《Heritage 1881》In 2014, I returned to Hong Kong and visited the former Hong Kong Marine Police Headquarters which ceased its operation in 1996 and became the "Heritage 1881" in Tsim Sha Tsui. This new architectural complex retained the main building of the marine police headquarters, stable block, time ball tower, fire station and accommodation block. My last visit did not let me get a full view of the building complex because of the restricted opening to the public. Wednesday, December 23, 2015

【Photo Journey】《Tsz Shan Monastery》Car ran along Ting Kok Road of Tai Po District to the north of the New Territories of Hong Kong. Tolo Harbour was on the right whereas thick woods and hills were on the left. A huge and white Guanyin statute appearing in the greenwood mountains, facing Tolo Harbour, was particularly dazzling. My friend told me that it was Hong Kong businessman Li Ka-shing who spent HK$ 1.5 billion to build this Tsz Shan Monastery.Tuesday, December 22, 2015

【Photo Journey】《Revisiting Grass Island》Grass Island (Tap Mun) is an outlying island northeast of the New Territories of Hong Kong, with an area of 1.69 square kilometers and the highest point of the hill is 125 meters. As the island is full of grass around the hills, that is the reason "grass island" is so named. Standing atop the hill, I could enjoy a 360-degree panorama of the beautiful view. Therefore it attracts numerous campers and travellers. Monday, December 21, 2015

【Photo Journey】《From Tai Long Sai Wan to Chek Keng》: To enjoy the most beautiful beach in Hong Kong, you can not go without visiting the famous Tai Long Sai Wan (lit. "Big Wave West Bay") at Sai Kung East Country Park in Hong Kong. It is due to the wide bay with shallow water, sandy beaches, big waves and beautiful scenery that it is renowned to be the top of the ten beautiful beaches in Hong Kong. I first came to Tai Long Sai Wan for scout camping some 50 years ago. Sunday, December 20, 2015

【Hong Kong Nostalgia】《Sai Kung East Country Park in Hong Kong》: Hong Kong is widely known for her beautiful countryside and outlying islands. Liu Ke-xiang, a famous hiking observer from Taiwan in his new book, "Three-quarters of Hong Kong", also realized that three-quarters of the countryside is the actual character of Hong Kong. As such, on Dec 17, 2014 Colman, my university classmate and I went to Sai Kung East Country Park for taking photos of the country landscape. I am glad that he could join me as we have missed each other for several decades since we left university.
